Auto Saving Tips
When an Ash Storm
Threatens You.

If you live in Washington,
Oregon or Montana you must
be aware of the hazard
that a volcano is to you and to
your car or truck's engines.

We suggest the tips
that save your engine
as the number 1 tip of the
year.

We think that millions
of cars would have
been saved from
the junk heaps after
the may 1980 eruption
if someone would have
shared tips like this.

Main thing to remember
is that your engine can
run in an ash storm.

YOU MUST TAKE
SPECIAL STEPS

#1 Don't Place Yourself in Harms Way
#2 Place a protective cover over your air filter and protect your engine's oil from
harmful ash which will destroy your oil and eventually eat your engine from the inside
out. In 1980, million of car and truck owners lost their cars just weeks or months
after the eruption and there was not compensation for the loss.
A nylon over the
air cleaner is very helpful and will possible prevent harm from the very fine ash partials.
